Great opening of the photo exhibition “Women Empower Business”
We are very satisfied and overwhelmed that so many visitors came by and attended the opening of the unique photo exhibition: ‘Women Empower Business’ in the beautiful and evocative location with high ceilings in Anexet at Lundsgaaard Gods in Kerteminde.
In Choice Foundation we have been working hard to be able to bring this national photo exhibition to Fyn. And we are proud to show it together with Butler’s Choice, The Confederation of Danish Industries (DI) and Orana with whom we hosted the opening this week.
The visitors also had the unique opportunity to meet the photographer behind the amazing photos: Stine Heilmann – and hear her experiences from the intense photo shoots together with the poor people in the developing countries.
One of the key speaker was the Vietnamese/Danish businesswoman Anh Lê – owner of the gourmet restaurant Lêlê and Lêlê Street Kitchen. She held a very touching, lifeaffirming and inspiring speech about coming to Denmark years ago as a boat refugee working her hardest in a family-owned burgerbar having ambitions at the same time. Today she is a very successful restaurateur, TV chef and business owner. Anh Lê also told the that she is very inspired and touched by Choice Foundation and our projects in her native country Vietnam.
The photo exhibition has generated a fine interest from the media, and the regional radio station DR P4 Fyn was also attending the opening and did a live interview with Henrik Schramm Rasmussen from The Confederation of Danish Industries (DI) and co-founder Helle Stokkebye Johansen.
It was a very satisfied board taking a short rest during the exhibition:
