Co-founder speaks at conference in Confederation of Danish Industry
We are proud to be invited to share our CSR-experiences at the conference “Danish Pioneers for Sustainability” on 7th November. The conference focuses on Danish companies’ work with responsibility and sustainability within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) and ‘Virksomhedsforum for Socialt Ansvar’ (VFSA) are organizing the conference and it will be held in the House of Industry in Copenhagen.
At the conference co-founder and chairman of the board Helle Stokkebye Johansen will speak about Choice Foundation’s work with ensuring girls’ and women’s rights in the poor fishing communities in Vietnam. Since 2000, Butler’s Choice, who is behind Choice Foundation, has had its own office in Southern Vietnam, from where they buy warm water prawns. Choice Foundation was established in 2011 to contribute even more to better education and access to health services in the local fishing communities.
