The ‘Women Empower Business’ photo book is now available

January 8, 2017

Choice Foundation contributes in the ‘Women Empower Business’ photo book with our school and health projects in Vietnam – the beautiful coffee table book is now available online and in some book stores.

Confederation of Danish Industry – DI has published the stunning photo book based on the ‘Women Empower Business’ exhibition that opened in May 2016 as a part of the Women Deliver 2016 conference in Copenhagen.

The board of Choice Foundation participated in the official launching reception this december.

The preface of the book is written by Director General and CEO in DI, Karsten Dybvad, and photographer Stine Heilmann’s beautiful and touching pictures takes you as reader on a unique journey to eight destinations in six developing countries in Africa and Asia, where Danish companies as Butler’s Choice improve the lives of girls and women.

In general the photo book offers a rare glimpse behind the commercial facade of business and shows examples of how Danish business take a social responsibility for the society they are a part of when abroad – including storytelling insight from Choice Foundations school and health projects in Vietnam:

Without running water and proper toilet-facilities the conditions in school lead to a high risk of infection and make it difficult for schoolchildren to concentrate.

Therefore Choice Foundation provides toilet facilities and running water.

HRH Crown Princess Mary

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has written the foreword of the book as she has shown a sincere interest in gender equality and in the ‘Women Empower Business’ project right from the beginning.

“A sustainable world cannot exist if one half of the world’s population continues to be denied its full human rights and opportunities.”
