The highlight of this week was when 20-year-old Anders Egsvang Rasmussen – owner of Egsvang Trading came by to the vernissage and donated a check on DKK 20,000 to Choice Foundation out of his own pocket. The big check was received by founder of Choice Foundation and owner of Butler’s Choice Jacob Stokkebye and board member Janne Schneider Laigaard, who is co-responsible for our projects.

I just sat down and thought about how I wanted to spend my money, and I came to think of Jackob Stokkebye, who I know from Kerteminde cycling club. He is a firebrand, and I have now followed Choice Foundations work through a good while. And I decided to donate DKK 20,000 – Because the joy of giving is far greater than to keep the money.” Said a deliberate Anders Egsvang Rasmussen, who is a former cyclist at elite level and today a successful business owner and trader.

Anders Egsvang Rasmussen from Egsvang Trading held an inspiring speech about the joy of giving instead of keeping money.

“We are incredibly grateful for the donation, and we are honored and proud that a young and ambitious man show us so much generosity and thoughtfulness.” Says co-founder of Choice Foundation and chairman of the board, Helle Stokkebye Johansen.

It is already decided that the DKK 20.000 will be donated to our school project in Bac Lieu in South Vietnam, where new toilets and better hygiene conditions are created as well as clean drinking water is installed for the children.
13% of children under 5 years die in these areas due to poor hygiene conditions, and therefore this is an important project that Anders Egsvang Rasmussen from Egsvang Trading would like to help us support with this money.
